Assistance from SAN is offered via telephone, email and face-to face-visits.
Upon referral, a SAN programme professional will be allocated to undertake an initial assessment of your needs and, in some circumstances, a mental health consultant will work in collaboration with the SAN team to provide specialist recommendations.
SAN will then develop a personalised package of care for you which will include some or all of the following:
Identification of local and national support organisations and information as to how to access these
Access to regular support from the SAN team
Information about educational groups and commemorative events which offer the opportunity to meet others who have been affected by terror attacks
Support for inquest processes
Support accessing compensation
Help accessing appropriate psychological support
Guidance on handling the media
